Comox Valley Exhibition (CVEX)

The Comox Valley Exhibition, known locally as CVEX, is one of Vancouver Island's longest-running agricultural fairs, carrying on a tradition of celebrating rural life and community that stretches back more than 150 years. Held over three days at the Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds in Courtenay, the fair brings together farmers, growers, crafters and families from across the region. Visitors can expect livestock displays and competitions, prize-winning produce and baking, homecraft and horticulture exhibits, midway rides and games, live entertainment, food vendors and plenty of hands-on activities for children. It is a chance to see 4-H members show their animals, watch demonstrations, and take in the agricultural heritage that shaped the valley. Organized by the volunteer-run Comox Valley Exhibition, the event draws locals and visitors alike each late August as summer winds down.
