Port Alberni Toy Run

The Port Alberni Toy Run is an annual charity motorcycle event that has rolled through the Alberni Valley for more than four decades, with the 42nd edition set for September 19 and 20, 2026. Organized by the Port Alberni Toy Run Society, the weekend brings together hundreds of riders and community members to collect toys, food and cash donations for local families in need ahead of the holiday season. The centrepiece is a colourful motorcycle parade of decorated bikes riding through town, drawing spectators of all ages to the streets, plus gatherings, live music and family activities across the weekend. It is a feel-good, community-driven tradition that combines motorcycle culture with genuine local generosity, and everyone is welcome to line the route, cheer the riders, and contribute a new unwrapped toy or non-perishable donation. There is no admission charge to watch or take part; the spirit of the event is giving back. Riders, clubs and families come from across Vancouver Island to participate, making it one of Port Alberni's signature autumn gatherings.
